Wearer: Consumers who love mixed materials; fans of the Krewe sun frames
Specifics: Seven frame styles for optical
Selling Points: The company, which was recently acknowledged as a runner-up in the 2016 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, found it “exceptionally easy” to transition into offering their first optical styles, the company said. Since the brand was launched in 2013, founder and creative director Stirling Barrett has tested optical styles alongside sun styles.
“As Krewe’s use of technology in creating one of a kind eyewear has grown in recent years, Barrett now feels confident in his understanding of ophthalmic specific design and quality of the materials to offer a full line to his clientele,” the company said in a statement.
This optical line from Krewe stays true to the company’s roots of using mixed material integration. The frames in this collection use titanium, stainless steel, palladium and acetate in a variety of playful colors ranging from 12K to 24K with custom temples wires and hinges. They also come in a range of silhouettes.
“I am so excited to debut our much-anticipated optical line for Spring 2017,” said Barrett. “We are always elated to hear how our customers use and love their sunglasses from year to year, and we look forward to sharing the next phase in our brand evolution with them. By incorporating new design elements, we are able to offer the best eyewear with a variety of fits and styles for our Krewe community.”
