Showalter Named President of Ice-Tech

October 17, 2011

LAS VEGAS— Ice-Tech Advanced Lens Technologies announced that Beth Showalter has been named president. Showalter, who formerly served as director of sales and marketing and as production manager for the Atlantic Beach-Fla.-based digital lens maker, is stepping into the position previously held by company founder Allen Weatherby. Weatherby will stay on as CEO and shift his focus to new research and development projects. Showalter, 27, is one of the youngest executives to ever head a lens company.

As president, Showalter will oversee an expansion of the company’s activities, which includes adding employee benefits and training programs, strengthening customer relations, improving communication between the research and development and production divisions and developing sales and marketing strategies and objectives, according to Ice-Tech.
