Organizers of The Eye Show in London Report 125 Exhibitors to Date for New Exhibition in February 2013

LONDON—A new eyewear exhibition in England is being added to the international optical trade show events calendar in 2013. Organizers of
The Eye Show, to debut in London, Feb. 12 to 14 next year, report to VMail that they have signed approximately 125 firmed exhibitors to date, and that more companies who have reserved or are booking space for the new event.
The Eye Show is being organized by Dawn Kimes, who has organized other international trade shows, the group said, through her company, Emergexpo Ltd., based in Berk Hempstead in the U.K. An Eye Show spokesperson said, “As a new industry event, The Eye Show is aiming to fulfill its needs by bringing something fresh and modern. This involved the show being launched to run alongside London Fashion Week, in order to offer world class designers the chance to display their eyewear ranges simultaneously.”
The exhibition will be held in ExCeL, an exhibition site which was also a recent Olympic London 2012 venue. The inaugural event will include exhibitors in the categories of fashion frames, spectacle lenses, instruments, sunglasses, contact lenses, practice accessories, education and training, sports eyewear, children’s eyewear, coatings and lens treatments, practice management and IT software, workshop and lab equipment, financial and business consultants.
Sectors within the exhibition hall, organizers said, will include Vision & Health, Lifestyle and Sport and International Pavilions. Other key feature areas include a Catwalk and Model Zone, Hosted Buyer Lounge and Conference Auditorium. A full program of conferences and seminars are planned. The floor plan is available on the

In addition to individual company/distributor exhibitors, the organizers told VMail there will be several collective pavilions, reflecting international participation. These include pavilions from China, Hong Kong, Singapore, India, UAE, Korea and a U.S. pavilion. Agents are representing these opportunities; more info is available from the exhibition organizers.
