Expo Welcomes New Affiliate Partners
NEW YORK—Expo opened its doors yesterday to crowds of attendees, “providing an annual opportunity for the industry to come together to take education, network and see the latest in fashion eyewear and eyecare technology, all under one roof,” said Tom Loughran, group vice president for Reed Exhibitions.
“We are also pleased to welcome 15 new affiliate partners to Vision Expo East. We now have 46 affiliate partners, which makes this year's program the largest we’ve ever had and our list continues to grow each year as we build strategic relationships with optometric associations, professional organizations, alliances and buying groups,” he said.
In each case, Vision Expo works with their partners to create customized member benefit packages—from onsite meeting rooms to education discounts to networking receptions.
Another new feature show organizers launched this year is dedicated guided tours of the show floor, and the “members on the tour appreciate this personal touch,” Loughran said.
