SOUTH WINDSOR, Conn.—Coburn Technologies is introducing the OAC 25, a compact, low volume anti-reflective coating system designed for use in retail environments and entry level AR labs. A versatile unit, the OAC 25 features a small footprint and is easy to operate with reliable daily production, according to Coburn Technology. Using the unit’s flip system, an operator can coat up to 40 uncut lenses or 16 cut and edged lenses in eight hours. Coating options include standard AR, premium AR and mirror.
“The introduction of the new OAC 25 system follows a long history of providing automated lens processing technologies to our many low volume wholesale and retail customers, said Wayne Labrecque, vice president of sales for Coburn Technologies. “For space-restrained labs, the OAC 25 is over 30 percent smaller than competitive systems and offers an unbelievably small in-lab footprint.”
Curt Brey vice president marketing and business development added, “The OAC 25 is easily the most unique AR coating system in the world. Offering a low cost of ownership and a more reasonable cost of entry the new OAC 25 will be popular with anyone working in or considering development of
an AR business.” Brey also added, “The OAC 25 is truly innovative in that it uses proven vacuum deposition technology, instead of sputter or chemical deposition techniques, allowing it to deliver unmatched
AR quality in a size never available before.”
Coburn Technologies also offers three AR coating systems for higher volume applications: OAC 50, OAC 75
and OAC 120.
