Super Systems ADDvantage PALs Receive Trademark

CINCINNATI—The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office recently issued a trademark to Super Systems, a Cincinnati-based optical equipment manufacturer and lens supplier, for its ADDvantage line of premium high definition progressive lenses. The lens is marked and measured for digital accuracy, allowing for a precision finish.

The ADDvantage lens, which is priced to the optician starting at $14.98 per pair, is produced with the Fast Grind modified lens surfacing system, which is built by hand at Super Systems’ 14,000 square foot facility in Oakley, Ohio. Fast Grind technology surfaces and polishes a pair of ADDvantage lenses to a prescription in 12 minutes, leaving the lenses ready to be edged. ADDvantage is available in regular and short corridor, with or without a premium AR coating and Corning Sunsensor technology.

“This is such a rare opportunity for an optician to now be able to offer a premium quality product which is competitive in its design to other well-known brands, but that is available at a fraction of the cost to them,” said Super Systems veteran optician and CEO Don Gilman. “The ADDvantage lens is designed foremost for patient comfort. The added value generated through increased revenue to optical practices is what really makes this a homerun.”
