|November 16, 2012 12:15 AM
2013 Envision Conference on low vision is seeking submissions for clinical education and research sessions. Described as a multi-disciplinary low vision rehabilitation and research conference, Envision will be held at the Hyatt Regency here, Sept. 19 to 21, 2013.
Education and research submissions are open now through March 22, 2013. Clinical education submissions should incorporate practical information that low vision practitioners and educators need to succeed professionally and encourage discussion of professional concerns and views. They should also include concrete examples, incorporate the principles of evidence-based practice and demonstrate the unique contribution and expertise of low vision practitioners and educators.
Anyone who is involved in the area of visual research may submit an abstract for a research presentation. This includes practicing optometrists and ophthalmologists, the professional and academic visual research community, as well as applied psychology, nursing and occupational and low vision therapists. Presenters are encouraged to submit multiple proposals across both areas of educational content—clinical education and research.
