OWA Offers Selling Workshop During VEW

June 4, 2009 12:24 AM

LAS VEGAS—The Optical Women’s Association (OWA) will present a Professional Optical Woman’s Workshop (POWW) called "The Secret of Selling—Discovering a New Sales Technique to Ease the Pain of a Slow Economy," on Sept. 30, 2009 from 5 to 7 p.m., during International Vision Expo West.

Robert Bell, the workshop leader, is a 25-year veteran of the optical industry, the president of EyeCoach and the creator of the EyeCoach Selling System, as well as author of the “Optical Briefcase,” a monthly column published in 20/20 Magazine, for the past two years. Bell’s workshop will allow attendees to explore conventional points of view and stereotypes regarding selling, redefine selling and learn the “Pendulum,” the secret of selling. In addition, they will discover why conventional selling techniques move in the wrong direction, learn new sales techniques, role play sales situations with other attendees, find out how to overcome and isolate objectives and ultimately close the sale, the OWA said.

The workshop includes light hors de oeuvres and non-alcoholic drinks and is open to OWA members and non-members. It will be free to OWA members who register via e-mail in advance and the fee for non-members is $35. To register, send an e-mail to owa@opticalwomen.com.
