HAUPPAUGE, N.Y.—Santinelli International is introducing a software upgrade for its ME-1000 Lens Edging System that enables ECPs to produce customized Chemistrie Sunlenses by Eyenovate, a Pittsburgh-based company. The sunlenses magnetically self-align onto prescription eyewear and are an economical alternative or supplement to a full set of prescription sunwear, according to Santinelli. Using the exclusive “Click Mode” software, ECPs can drill holes in the sunlenses and mount the magnets.

“By fabricating Chemistrie Sunlenses in-house, customers are happy and the practice’s profits grow,” said Gerard Santinelli, president and CEO of Santinelli International.

According to George C. Parks, Eyenovate's president and CEO, “The goal of Eyenovate is to provide innovative and practical products that simplify the lives of optical industry providers and their customers. Our alliance with Santinelli International and the development of the lens edger ‘Click Mode’ does just that, as it offers a turn key solution for increasing profits.

As an introductory offer, Santinelli International is offering customers who purchase an ME-1000 lens edging system the “Click Mode” sofware, a full Chemistrie Sunlenses starter kit, complete with necessary materials for five sets of sunlenses and a point-of-purchase display. ■
