JACKSONVILLE, Fla.—The Vistakon division of Johnson & Johnson Vision Care (NYSE: JNJ) today named Dave Brown president, Vistakon Americas, responsible for Vistakon’s U.S. and Canadian businesses.
He succeeds Naomi Kelman, who left Vistakon late last month to join LifeScan, a J&J division that makes products for diabetics. Kelman had been president, Vistakon Americas, since July 1, 2004.
Brown joined J&J Vision Care in 2006 as vice president, worldwide vision care franchise. During his tenure there, he led efforts to bring to market new products including Acuvue Oasys contact lenses for both presbyopia and astigmatism, according to the company.
Before joining J&J Vision Care, Brown worked in several Johnson & Johnson companies, beginning as associate product director, McNeil Consumer Products Company, a division of McNEIL-PPC, in 1990.
“Dave’s breadth of marketing and general management experiences across multi-sectors and multiple businesses, combined with his knowledge of the vision care business, uniquely qualifies him to lead the Americas region through its next chapter of growth and innovation,” commented Michael Sneed, J&J Vision Care’s company group chairman.
