GLEN COVE, N.Y.—This year’s Essilor Vision Foundation Golf Classic tournament drew participation from a range of golfers and supporters from around the industry to enjoy a day on the Nassau Country Club links and participate in silent and live auctions to help the Foundation, which raises funds to provide vision care and eyeglasses to New York area schoolchildren.
This year’s tournament was a Cadillac Invitational, one of only 50 such events held around the U.S. each year. It is the country’s leading charity golf program.
The foursome with the lowest score at the Essilor Vision Foundation Cadillac Invitational were Sam Baretta, Sean Hartman, Paul Impagliazzo and Brett Van Nostrand, who won an invitation to the Cadillac Invitational National Finals at TPC Sawgrass, Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., Jan. 15 to 18, 2010 to compete for the Cadillac Invitational National Championship.
The Essilor Vision Foundation golf event benefits the group’s “Adopt-A-School” program. According to Audrey Reed, executive director of the Essilor Vision Foundation, “We have adopted two schools in New York— Landing Elementary Glen Cove, N.Y. and P.S. 111,
