Essilor Acquires Wisconsin Lab

DALLAS—Essilor of America, based here, has acquired Orion Progressive Lab, a Madison-Wis. prescription laboratory with nearly $5 million in revenue. The purchase, which occurred Sept. 1, was announced last week by Essilor International as part of its third-quarter 2009 earnings report.
Orion’s key executives, Joe Graber and Richard Mancusi, will continue to be involved with the company, according to Essilor.
In all, Essilor International said it has acquired 17 companies since Jan. 1, 2009 representing additional full-year revenue of approximately €83 million for the Paris-based company.
