Hardy Named President of Optelec US, Hanlon Named VP Operations

VISTA, Calif.—Optelec US, a supplier of assistive technologies for the blind and visually impaired, announced that Andre Hardy has been appointed president. Hardy is responsible for spearheading and expanding corporate and product strategy, business development, and overseeing all finance, operations, sales and marketing initiatives.

Since joining Optelec US in 2007 as vice president of sales and marketing, Hardy has expanded the company’s product sales, distribution channels, and industry relationships.

In addition, Optelec has named Laura Hanlon vice president of operations. From Optelec’s US headquarters here, Hanlon will oversee day-to-day operations within the purchasing, warehouse, quality control, information technology and customer care departments. Hanlon joined Optelec in January 2007. Previously, she was the logistics manager at Option B and served as purchasing manager for Professional Hospital Supply.
