AMSTERDAM—Marchon Eyewear has announced the appointment of Marco DeDavide to the position of managing director of Marchon, Spain. In this new role, DeDavide will be responsible for the company’s sales and operations in that region and will report directly to Nicola Zotta, vice president and managing director of Marchon Europe.

“We are pleased to have Marco join Marchon,” said Zotta. “We believe his skills and expertise are perfectly suited to help Marchon further expand into the Spanish market. We now have the team in place to take our business to the next level.”

DeDavide has over 15 years experience in the optical industry having worked for Safilo Group, where he held a number of roles including branch manager for Germany, sales director for Italy, head of European subsidiaries and most recently as worldwide group brand manager for Gucci Group brands.

“Marchon has an impressive portfolio and is planning to support growth in this region with additional resources,” added DeDavide. “I am excited to join this great team and contribute to building our footprint and respective business(es) in the Spanish market.” ■ ■
