The right leading man can make or break a project. In our latest Bold Face we highlight four leading men who seem to get it right more often than not in both their roles and their choice of eyewear…

Blair Underwood, seen here in the Sean John SJ139S sunglasses from Marchon, is not only one of the lead actors in the extremely well-received new drama series “The Event” but he also plays the leader of the free world, Elias Martinez, president of these United States, in the show as well. “The Event” premiered on Sept. 20 and airs Monday nights on NBC…

A-lister Nicolas Cage has been a Hollywood leading man for quite some time. Proving he still has the chops to carry a movie, he can be seen wearing the John Varvatos V746 with custom orange lenses from Base Curve in his new upcoming action thriller “Trespass” with Nicole Kidman out next year…

In 2008, Joaquin Phoenix gave up a promising acting career in order to focus on a career in rap music. It turned out to be the biggest leading role ever. The mockumentary “I'm Still Here” followed Phoenix’s life during the “transition,” for which he remained in character, including a full beard, long hair and black Tom Ford Jack sunglasses from Marcolin, for public appearances. The sunglasses can even be seen in the movie’s poster seen here.
