Jobson Healthcare Information Websites Honored With 2011 eHealthcare Leadership Awards

NEW YORK—Several Jobson Healthcare Information websites, including SightNation.com, PharmQD.com, alertMarketing.com and HopefulCircle.org have won 2011eHealthcare Leadership Awards. This leading awards program exclusively recognizes the very best websites of healthcare organizations (both large and small), online health companies, pharmaceutical/medical equipment firms, suppliers and business improvement initiatives. This is the fourth consecutive year JHI has achieved recognition for its websites.

In the category of Best Health/Healthcare Content, PharmQD.com won a Gold award and SightNation.com and HopefulCircle.org were honored with Platinum awards. In the category of Best Site Design, PharmQD.com won a Distinction award and SightNation.com won a Silver award. For Best Overall Site, PharmQD.com, SightNation.com and HopefulCircle.org were all honored with Silver awards. And in the WebAward category, SightNation.com, PharmQD.com, alertMarketing.com, HopefulCircle.org and JHIHealth.com were all honored with various Awards of Excellence.

The response to the 2011 eHealthcare Leadership Awards was very strong with nearly 1,200 entries received from a wide range of health care organizations. Organizations had the opportunity to enter under one of 17 classifications so that they could compete against others of comparable type, size, and resources. In total, there were 13 different award categories. These awards highlight the Internet's role in achieving an organization's business objectives and recognize the efforts needed to create health websites.

More than 114 individuals familiar with healthcare and the Internet evaluated the entries and websites were rated based on a standard of Internet excellence and how they compare with others in their group classification. Winners were recognized during a special presentation at the 15th Annual Healthcare Internet Conference held Nov. 7 to 9, 2011 in Orlando.
