Revo Ambassador Jimmy Chin Reaches the Top

December 12, 2011

Revo ambassador Jimmy Chin described how his mountaineering team was the first and only one to summit Meru-The Shark’s Fin in the Garwal Himalayas.  Among the extensive amount of gear necessary to reach the top were Revo sunglasses.
NEW YORK—At the North Face store, renowned mountaineering photographer and Revo ambassador, Jimmy Chin made a slideshow presentation of a climb that he described as far more difficult than conquering Mount Everest. Alongside the two other members of his team, legend Conrad Anker and Renan Ozturk, the alpinist reached the summit of Meru-The Shark’s Fin, one of the last unclimbed routes in the Garwal Himalayas. The presentation was hosted by Revo, the official eyewear sponsor of the climb, which shares Chin as brand ambassador with North Face. “I only work with brands I really believe in,” Chin said, referring to the Revo sunglasses he wore during the climb.
