Diversified Ophthalmics Promotes Cooke, Welcomes Israel

CINCINNATI—Cincinnati-based Diversified Ophthalmics has promoted Ronald Cooke, Jr. to vice president of manufacturing and distribution operations. Cooke, who has been a member of the Diversified Ophthalmics’ team for over 20 years, has demonstrated leadership and management abilities that have been integral to the company’s continuing success, according to Ronald Cooke, Sr., OD, president and founder of Diversified Ophthalmics.

Additionally, Diversified Ophthalmics has hired David Israel, a 30-year optical industry veteran, as vice president of operations. Israel’s responsibilities include sales, marketing, customer service, IT and management of Diversified Ophthalmics’ branches. Israel brings with him extensive experience in strategic planning, business and customer development, and new technology platforms. His leadership experience at Biocompatibles Eyecare, Optelec, and several technology based start-up companies will serve well in his new position, said Dr. Cooke. ■
