Pearle Names Kumar VP To Expand Franchises

MASON, Ohio—Srinivas (Srini) Kumar has been named senior vice president and general manager of Pearle Vision, a division of Luxottica Retail (NYSE: LUX).

He will use his previous experience as president and COO of Baskin-Robbins International, a division of Dunkin’ Brands Group, Inc., to “rapidly grow and expand the number of franchise locations,” according to the company. At Baskin Robbins, Kumar “led a team that enjoyed significant growth and built strong relationships with the company’s 4,100 franchised restaurants,” according to Pearle Vision’s statement.

A Pearle spokesperson told Vision Monday, Kumar will report to Seth McLaughlin, executive vice president of Pearle Vision and Licensed Brands. The spokesperson also added that William Vaughan, vice president of franchising, will report to Kumar. ■
