Power comes in many forms. In this week’s Bold Face we feature three actors who are showing us all the different ways the theme of power can be interpreted… not the least of which is with some powerfully stylish sunwear…

Giancarlo Esposito plays Captain Tim Neville on NBC’s new series Revolution. The sci-fi drama, which premiered on Sept. 17, is about a post-apocalyptic world that has mysteriously lost all battery and electric power. With a tag line like “15 years after the blackout… power is everything,” it is clear that the theme of power, both electrical and as a synonym for strength, are central themes in the show. Esposito, seen here in the Salvatore Ferragamo SF617S sunglasses from Marchon, has also proven to be a powerful actor; he was nominated for an “Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series” at the 64th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards for his role as Gus on AMC’s Breaking Bad. Revolution airs on NBC on Monday nights at 10pm EST….

Anna Kendrick is one of those actresses with a quiet, unassuming sort of power. Only 27, already an Academy Award nominee and a reoccurring character in one of the most successful movie franchises of all time (Twilight), she has appeared in several recent releases, including the rom/com What To Expect When You're Expecting, the animated ParaNorman, the Robert Redford-directed political thriller The Company You Keep and the action/drama End of Watch. As if that variety of films did not prove she has a powerful range, Kendrick was recently snapped headed into VH1’s Morning Buzz wearing the Ray-Ban 4171 from Luxottica, to discuss her upcoming projects, including the musical comedy Pitch Perfect, in theaters now, where she plays a rebellious college student who SINGS (another powerful talent) in an all-girl a cappella group…

Kevin Costner has had a long and successful career in Hollywood. After a bit of a career lull it seems the accomplished actor is back with a vengeance. Hot off a Primetime Emmy win for his role in Hatfields & McCoys, Costner will have significant roles in two of 2013’s most anticipated releases. First up he will play Jonathan Kent in the Superman origin story, Man of Steel, and then as CIA field agent William Harper, mentor to Chris Pine in the title role, in the reboot/prequel of Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan franchise. The action/thriller, directed by Kenneth Branagh and scheduled for release on Dec. 25, 2013, is currently filming and the first images from the set have been released showing Costner in the CS20 sunglass from Beausoleil. Costner has actually been signed on for a two picture deal to play Harper, a “true blue American idealist” who recruits and mentors both Ryan and fellow agent John Kelly, a character in Without Remorse, set to star Tom Hardy.
