The supernatural is often the subject of TV shows and films. In this week’s edition of Bold Face we feature three stars who have taken a bite out of the genre in their own otherworldly style…

The CW’s The Vampire Diaries returned this October for its fourth season. The show, which is based on the series of books by L.J. Smith, takes place in a small town where supernatural beings live in secret amongst its residents. Actress Candice Accola stars as Caroline Forbes, a young women who is searching for friendship, love and her place in the world… and oh yeah, she’s a vampire. One thing Accola is not searching for is a fabulous pair of glasses. She’s got that all locked up thanks to these Nine West NW5006 opticals from Marchon

Johnny Depp has had a long career, often portraying characters or appearing in movies with a supernatural bent. Many of those films have been the product of Depp’s long collaboration with director and close friend Tim Burton. Beginning with Edward Scissorhands in 1990, the two have worked together on eight films culminating in 2012 when Depp starred in the Burton-directed Dark Shadows. The film is based on the 1960’s gothic soap opera of the same name and in it Depp plays a vampire. Like his partnership with Burton, Depp likes to stick with things that work and can usually be seen in the Lemtosh frames from Moscot

Dakota Fanning is only 18 years old and she has already been a professional actress for 13. If that wasn’t enough to make you believe that there are higher powers at work, one of her most widely viewed roles has been that of Jane, a vampire who can create the illusion of pain in others and a member of the Volturi Guard, in the Twilight Saga films New Moon, Eclipse, and both Breaking Dawn movies. Given her youth and talent, Fanning will no doubt tackle numerous roles with a supernatural bent over the course of her career, until then we’ll just have to make do with how eerily good she looks in these Marc Jacobs 012 sunglasses from Safilo.
