Mykita & Moncler Unveil the Lionel for AW 2012/13

Mykita & Moncler debut the unisex Lionel model, and its urban context, for the 2012/13 autumn/winter season. Inspired by 1950s alpine glacier goggles, which featured round lenses in metal rims and leather cladding for protection, the Mylon Lionel incorporates an ample double bridge and slight temples that represent the modern manifestation of alpine eyewear. A delicate silhouette and a further reduced weight of the Mylon were the defining features behind the creation of the Lionel. To mark the 60th anniversary of Moncler this frame as named after Lionel Terray, in remembrance of the first mountaineer to have his expeditions outfitted by Moncler. www.mykita.com
