Quick Take: The McGee Group has launched the new Badgley Mischka eyewear collection inspired by Badgley Mischka’s signature fabrics, layering and draping.
Wearer: A young, modern, couture customer, though the collection does not forsake women of any age.
Specifics: The initial launch includes 14 optical styles.
Selling Points: The collection features the latest in design techniques like the use of custom colors through a multi-layered transparent silkscreen and acetate generation process. Swarovski crystals and European components combined with metal casted, beveled and sculpted temples and accents help translate the idea of fabric in motion. Standouts of the ophthalmic collection include the Vivianna, a semi-rimless Italian acetate frame with a sculpted eye rim for an oversized dramatic cat-eye shape, and the Melodie, an acetate frame front in a modified rectangle with a curved endpiece paired with an acetate temple featuring an embossed metal design laminating down its length. The Badgley Mischka optical and sun collections from McGee will be distributed in both the U.S. and international markets.
