Not to be outshone by the myriad of awards show this season, let’s not lose sight of the fact that one of the most exciting Super Bowls of recent years was played earlier this month. This edition of Bold Face features three stars that made it memorable…

Jacoby Jones is the wide receiver for the NFL’s Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens beat the San Francisco 49ers, 34-31, in the Super Bowl XLVII on Feb 3. Jones, cover boy for the current issue of Sports Illustrated, was an integral part of the Ravens win and broke an NFL record when he managed to make a touchdown after the longest return in Super Bowl history, rushing 108 yards and crossing the entire field. It made for very exciting football and spectators definitely got a show. Speaking of shows, Jones is wearing the Nike Show X2 from Marchon

Whether there is a direct correlation or not it doesn’t really matter, Beyoncé will go down in history as the performer whose halftime show may have literally brought down the house. Her performance was so electrifying urban legend says it caused a blackout in the Mercedes Benz SuperDome. With half the stadium in the dark for more than 30 minutes shortly after halftime and the game called to a halt, it’s an event will go down in history and will be irrevocably tied to the red hot performer. And with red hot top of mind perhaps that’s why the Queen B gravitated towards these red Ray-Ban RB 2140 Wayfarers from Luxottica

The athletics and halftime show are not the only reasons people turn in to the Super Bowl, many are just as excited for the commercials. One of the best of the lot showcased funny men Seth Rogen and Paul Rudd in a Samsung Galaxy commercial doing what they do best… being funny. Those commercial spots go for millions of dollars thanks to the sheer hugeness of the audience so it is great exposure for any brand. Luckily, Sama Eyewear got a little extra publicity as their Underground optical style is front and center on Rogen’s face during the entire two minute spot.
