Oakley Drops Pistorius

FOOTHILLS RANCH, Calif.—Oakley has dropped Oscar Pistorius, the 26-year-old Olympian and Paralympian sprinter, from their roster of athletes due to the murder charges brought against him in the Feb. 14 shooting and death of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp in Pretoria, South Africa.

"In light of the recent allegations, Oakley is suspending its contract with Oscar Pistorius, effective immediately. Our hearts are with the families during this difficult time and we’ll continue to follow the developments in this tragic case," the company stated.
