LAS VEGAS— American Optical Services (AOS) announced the acquisition of West Hills Vision Center in Pittsburgh, Pa. The company said this practice will join AOS’s existing network in Pennsylvania, bringing the total presence in the state to five locations.

West Hills Vision Center has been serving the Moon Township area for over 20 years and is known for the high level of service they provide to all their patients, AOS said, noting that West Hills’ Joseph Udvari, OD, FAAO, will stay on after the acquisition.

“We are focused on growing our network in the state of Pennsylvania and will continue to make acquisitions there to further enhance our penetration,” said Pierre Keyser, founder and CEO of AOS. AOS describes itself as a “nationally integrated eyecare provider” and has grown via acquisitions of both optometry and ophthalmology practices. Earlier this year AOS acquired Simon Vision in the Bay area and Apple Hill Eye Center in Pa. With the West Hills Vision Center, the group’s total number of office locations is now 105, a spokesperson said.
