With the advent of DVR it has become even more important to create TV ad spots that really grab the viewers’ attention. In this Bold Face we highlight three stars that have helped companies find commercial success…

The comical Old Spice commercials have become a cult sensation. Not surprising when you consider that the handsome Isaah Mustafa, who portrays “The Man Your Man Could Smell Like,” is usually shirtless and often on a horse. A former football player, Mustafa started acting in 2000, but it wasn’t until becoming the face of Old Spice in 2010 that his career began to really take off. Clearly a perfect example of the kind of success a popular commercial can have on one’s career, Mustafa looks almost as good clothed and in a pair of Marchon 3D M3D006S sunglasses from, you guessed it, Marchon, than he does in nothing more than a white towel…or on a horse… or with a handful of diamonds…

Even if you are not a racing fan you know who Danica Patrick is. Not only has she been voted sexiest athlete on the Victoria's Secret "What is Sexy" list and appeared in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue but her ads for GoDaddy.com have been ranked some of the most watch Superbowl commercials ever. They have been so successful in raising the profile of Danica AND GoDaddy that the company now sponsors both her IndyCar and her newer NASCAR cars. But GoDaddy isn’t Patrick’s only endorsement. She just signed on to endorse William Rast Eyewear and William Rast Racing Eyewear from Viva. Here the speedy beauty can be seen in the WRS 2009 from the William Rast Eyewear collection…

Speaking of sexy, Eva Mendes’ commercial for Calvin Klein’s Secret Obsession perfume is so sexy it has even been banned from airing in some countries. In the advertisement she seductively rolls around on a rumpled bed, mostly naked, while uttering “between love and madness there is Obsession…” Yeah, well forget the perfume Bold Face is obsessed with these sunglasses. The Prada Minimal-Baroque sunglasses from Luxottica (style 8167 here on Eva) are like a piece of art! They are so special and so unique that they have quickly become favorites of starlets all over Hollywood, it was hard to choose just one, but Eva wins because she currently has by far the sexiest commercial on TV.
