Bold Face explores the cult of celebrity and the styles, trends and brands that stars show off in movies, at events and living their daily lives. To be considered for inclusion please contact senior editor, Deirdre Carroll.

Be they actresses, singers or models (sometimes all three!) the three beautiful women in this week’s edition of Bold Face all know how to rock a magazine cover...

Hayden Panettiere stars as Juliette Barnes on ABC’s hit musical drama series, Nashville. Her character is a country singer who is determined to be the number one superstar of country music. To do that, however, she must usurp Rayna Jaymes (Connie Britton), the reigning “Queen of Country,” who herself is struggling to remain relevant. Panettiere was nominated for a Best Supporting Actress Golden Globe in 2012 and is expected to rack up more nominations headed into this year’s award show season. The 23 year-old Panettiere, who has been acting since age 5, is poised on the brink of A-List status and the major magazine covers have begun. She was Glamour’s May 2013 cover girl looking summer ready in striped Dolce&Gabbana. Another sign she’s ready for the summer? These Chloé CE600S sunglasses from Marchon

Hayden isn’t the only actress that has caught the singing bug. Believe it or not, Miley Cyrus actually started as an actress, making her debut in the series Doc in 2001 before appearing in a minor role for the film Big Fish in 2003. In 2006, she established herself as a teen idol and Disney “princess” with the success of the Hannah Montana franchise, in which she portrayed a girl living a double life - average teenage school girl, Miley Stewart, and famous pop singer, Hannah Montana. She recorded several songs and albums for the soundtrack of the show which served as her debut as a singer. Now better known as a pop star than an actress, Cyrus' fourth studio album is scheduled for release shortly and has been preceded by the lead single "We Can't Stop." The song’s video see’s Cyrus wearing several pairs of sunglasses, including the Tom Ford FT0304 from Marcolin. The album promises to continue to explore more adult themes, much like her recent editorial coverage, including this ELLE UK June 2013 cover…

Maybe it’s the acting bug that’s catching? Though we don’t know yet if the beautiful Kate Upton can sing, we do know she can model and has now dipped her toe into acting’s waters. Upton's film debut was a small role in 2011’s Tower Heist followed by an appearance in 2012’s The Three Stooges. In 2014, she’ll play her largest film role yet in the comedy The Other Woman, portraying, you guessed it, the other woman, who once she realizes she’s dating a married man, teams up with her boyfriend’s wife (Cameron Diaz) to plot revenge. Upton, who thanks to her “day job,” is American Vogue’s June 2013 cover girl, was recently snapped filming scenes for the movie with Diaz in NYC’s Chinatown wearing the Ray-Ban RB4178 sunglasses from Luxottica.
