STYLE: Bold Face Bold Face: Playing Doctor By Deirdre Carroll Friday, May 11, 2012 4:30 PM Bold Face explores the cult of celebrity and the styles, trends and brands that stars show off in movies, at events and living their daily lives. To be considered for inclusion please contact senior editor, Deirdre Carroll. Fresh off the news that the last six original leading stars have signed on for two more season, we devote this edition of Bold Face to the ridiculously good looking cast of television’s Grey’s Anatomy… Sarah Drew stars as the geeky, once shy, Dr. April Kepner on Grey’s Anatomy. Her character joined the show in the sixth season after the Seattle Grace and Mercy West hospitals joined. Since then she has worked her way up from mousy newbie to become the out-spoken chief resident. Recently audiences learned that Dr. Kepner is the only doctor in the group to have failed her boards and with only two episodes left in the eighth season it seems fans may be left in suspense as to what her future holds. At least we know her future holds some pretty awesome eyewear, here Drew wears the Nine West NW5000 optical style from Marchon… We already know that Patrick Dempsey will be back for two more seasons, which is a relief to fans of his character, neurosurgeon Dr. Derek Shepherd. Dr. Shepherd is married to fellow original cast member (and show namesake) Ellen Pompeo’s character Meredith Grey-Shepherd. This season the Shepherds have finally been able to finalize their adoption of baby Zola after it was threatened by some poor decisions made by Meredith which caused conflict in her work and personal lives. One thing that isn’t causing conflict? The Persol PO2994s sunglasses from Luxottica Dr. McDreamy is wearing in this picture… Our last Grey’s star is actually no longer on the show but was one of the original cast members and was recently in the news for mentioning she would be happy to return to the show while promoting her latest film, One For the Money. Katherine Heigl, who played Dr. Isobel "Izzie" Stevens, left Grey’s Anatomy abruptly in season six and Heigl has mentioned she’d like to return to the show to wrap up Izzie’s storyline. As far as One For the Money, Heigl can be seen in the movie wearing the Wiley X Dalila sunglasses as bumbling bail enforcement agent Stephanie Plum. One For the Money will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on May 15, 2012. Grey’s Anatomy airs Thursday nights on ABC.
