Latest News Forecast: Chilly Weather But Expo Promises to Be Hot By Staff Friday, March 15, 2013 12:21 AM NEW YORK—As Vision Expo East prepares to open its doors this morning, it is apparent that the show and conference continues to grow and this year will be no exception, according to show organizers. “After celebrating a record-breaking event for attendance in 2012, we are excited to kick off another great show,” said Tom Loughran, group vice president for Reed Exhibitions “This year’s event covers fours levels here at the Javits’ featuring 325 hours of education and 575 exhibitors of the latest eyewear and accessories, leading-edge equipment and technology and anything and everything for an optometrist’s practice.” There are also four new specialty areas: an International Pavilion, Boutiques on Main, Made in America and Vision Monday’s Eye2 Zone. “On top of all this, our attendees have access to more than 120 hours of affiliate partner meetings, press events, day and evening networking receptions and parties.
