John Sailer
NEW YORK—John Sailer has joined the Vision Monday editorial team as senior editor. He will
be based at the Jobson Optical Group offices here and will contribute to Vision Monday’s print editions, VisionMonday.com, VMail and other e-newsletters and live events.

Sailer’s responsibiilties will include news and feature coverage of national and regional optical retailers, managed vision care organizations, software systems and technology as well as working with other members of the VM editorial staff to monitor developments in online optical retailing and other industry issues.

Sailer will take on many of the responsibilities formerly handled by Cathy Ciccolella, most recently VM’s senior editor, who retired this past summer after a long business publishing career, including over 23 years with Vision Monday and the Jobson Optical Group.

Sailer was most recently a senior editor with First Vision Media Group, where he wrote and edited articles for Vision Care Product News, Optical Lab Products and Vision Care Venture, and other print and online properties for over six years. Prior to that, Sailer was the editor of several different magazines in the technical, building/construction and environmental fields, and is the author of two books in those arenas, including A Vogt for the Environment and The Great Stone Architects. He holds a B.A. from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
