HONG KONG and LONDON— Mondottica International has announced two new management appointments.

Mario Cesco assumes the role of director of product development for the international eyewear company. An industry veteran, he has worked for a variety of companies in Italy and for the past eight years had a similar role for Luxottica in China, the announcement said. He will be based at the company’s Hong Kong head office. He succeeds Mark Petley, who led Mondottica’s product development for the past 10 years and who is leaving to start a new business.

Sam Craig has also joined Mondottica International as creative and brand management director. This is a new position based in London. Craig held similar positions at Inspecs for the past 12 years.

Mondottica Group chairman Michael Jardine commented, “We are thrilled that Mario Cesco and Sam Craig are joining Mondottica Group. Both are very talented and experienced executives who will further strengthen our management teams and ability to deliver distinctive and quality eyewear to support our ambitious growth plans.”
