My Show Planner and Social Media Tips at Vision Expo West

NEW YORK—Vision Expo West attendees can use the My Show Planner system pre-show to maximize their show experience. Users can search for exhibitors and products, create a personal show agenda, email exhibitors directly and load appointments in Outlook. Map Your Show works with Vision Mobile, a smartphone application, which syncs with the floor plan in Map Your Show to enable attendees’ mobile phones to work as a GPS for the exhibit hall. In addition, users can integrate all your pre-show efforts made through your My Show Planner account, as well as explore exhibitor show specials.

On the Social Media education front, the Conference Advisory Board has added a hands-on workshop, interactive teaching and live online reviews of existing websites and Facebook pages to help guide eyecare professionals through the process of developing, setting up and using social media along with other web tools.

Show management has been actively engaged in social media leading up to Vision Expo West, utilizing Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube to post videos, answer questions, and promote hundreds of show specials, contests and parties. In addition, Vision Expo continues to share information from the ophthalmic community on topics such as fall trends, product and technology advancements in the industry and business-building tips.
