NASHO/NAVCP Meeting Focused on the Impact of Health Care Reform

SAN DIEGO—Making sense of how the Affordable Care Act will impact health care overall and managed vision care specifically was the topic of discussion throughout the second joint Specialty Health Summit sponsored by the National Association of Vision Care Plans (NAVCP) and the National Association of Specialty Health Organizations (NASHO).

Hosting a record 161 attendees, with 114 vision organizations represented, at the Rancho Bernardo Inn from April 29 to May 1, the event covered topics such as public and private health exchanges, market trends, and technological innovations presented by specialists representing the fields of vision care and health insurance.

Seminars as well as networking receptions were sponsored by a number of vision care organizations, including Advantica, Block Vision, Carl Zeiss Vision, Davis Vision, Essilor of America, PFO Global, Transitions Optical, Vistakon and VSP Global.
