New Videos Spotlight Vision Monday’s Eye2Zone at Vision Expo

NEW YORK—Vision Monday’s Eye2 Zone, an exhibition of new vision technologies that debuted at International Vision Expo last month, is being spotlighted in two new videos. The exhibit, based on VM’s monthly Eye2
e-newsletter, gave Expo attendees an insider’s look into some of the most interesting products unveiled at the International Consumer Electronics Show and other technology showcases.

“Wearable devices are one of this year’s hottest trends, and because of Google Glass, there is tremendous interest in devices that use eyewear as a vehicle,” said Andrew Karp, VM’s lenses and technology editor, who curated the exhibit. “After speaking with Expo attendees who visited the Eye2 Zone, it’s apparent that many of them are fascinated with these new vision technologies, and are looking at ways to incorporate them into their practices or businesses.”

The Eye2 Zone also attracted NY1, which reported on the exhibit on its New York City cable television station as well as online.

VM’s own video crew produced a more detailed report from The Eye2 Zone that includes information about the six products featured there:

• 4iiii—4iiii, a sports training system developed by Sportiiii, utilizes color LEDs and voice prompts to provide performance feedback without distraction during physical activity.
• Cinemizer by Carl Zeiss—The cinemizer OLED multimedia video glasses combine 3D movie enjoyment with outstanding image quality and stereo sound.
• eSight—eSight Eyewear is wearable, electronic assistive technology designed specifically for low vision.
