SEATTLE—Online eyewear retailer that caters exclusively to women, Rivet & Sway, has appointed the company’s former vice president of product, Sarah Bryar, as CEO. John Lusk, company co-founder and CEO since the company was launched in 2011, will become chief marketing officer and will also continue to serve as a board member.

“It was always my vision to hand-select a woman to lead Rivet & Sway, and Sarah is the perfect executive to take the reins,” Lusk said. “She has a rare blend of management, operations and e-commerce expertise, making her the ideal executive to lead the growth of the organization. With Rivet & Sway being a company focused exclusively on women, Sarah brings the insight and knowledge we need to flourish.”

Over the last 18 months, Bryar has played a pivotal role in building the Rivet & Sway team and has been actively involved in managing all aspects of the business. Previously, she spent six years with Amazon.com in various roles of product development and management, most recently serving as director of the Amazon Associates Program.

“I step into this new role with great enthusiasm,” Bryar said. “I have a true passion for Rivet & Sway, our customers, and the team that has been instrumental to our success thus far. We have great positive momentum with a strong following of loyal customers, and we are looking forward to unveiling our second collection of frames in the coming weeks.”
