FRANKLIN LAKES, N.J.— Think About Your Eyes, the national eye health awareness campaign, is the focus of the Aug.14 edition of “The Power Hour,” the weekly online radio talk show is hosted by Gary Gerber, OD, founder of The Power Practice, a practice management company.

Stated Gerber, “Think About Your Eyes is a national public awareness campaign, presented by The Vision Council and the American Optometric Association, designed to educate the public on the benefits of vision health and promote the importance of getting an annual comprehensive eye exam. It may be the largest campaign of its kind with results purporting increases of 120 more eye exams per practice per year. If that’s the case, why wouldn’t you participate? What’s holding you back from what appears to be a slam dunk for doctors?”

Talking about the campaign, the range of resources available to participating ECPs and details of how they can get involved will be Marty Bassett, president of Walman Optical and Vision Council board member.
