PLYMOUTH, Minn.—Vision-Ease Lens (VEL) recently held a party to celebrate the retirement of 12-year VEL employee, Frank Campis. Campis was a key account manager at VEL and is a recipient of American Optical’s All-American award and the Good Fellow Award for his efforts in the optical industry.

Campis began his career at Southern California Optical in 1957. He has represented three lens manufacturers—American Optical, Orcolite Optical and Vision-Ease Lens—as well as frame manufacturers Victory and Zyloware.

“All of us at Vision-Ease have greatly enjoyed our association and friendships with Frank,” said Doug Hepper, VEL’s president and CEO. “It was always a joy to work with Frank, a ‘sweetheart of a guy.’ His industry knowledge and connections were unmatched. We wish him all the best for a long, healthy and happy retirement.” ■
