PORT CHESTER, N.Y.— Zyloware has signed a licensing agreement with The Weinstein Company, the production company behind the Emmy-nominated and Peabody Award-winning creative competition series Project Runway, for Project Runway Eyewear inspired by the hit fashion reality show.

The license is for a multi-year term, including the option to renew, and Zyloware plans a North American launch in 2013, initially aimed at the three Os with possible expansion into other markets where the show has gained recognition after 2013.

Zyloware’s president, Chris Shyer said “Zyloware has worked with our partners at Project Runway to develop an exciting collection, and may just set new eyewear fashion trends with the fresh and colorful eyewear of our launch collection.”

Debuting in 2004, Project Runway has become a global hit and remains one of the most-watched reality competition shows on television. Featuring host Heidi Klum, judges Nina Garcia and Michael Kors, and mentor Tim Gunn, Project Runway has an eye for spotting fresh talent, coining fashion trends and creating design stars. The series is the number one competition reality program among women and has become part of the fashion industry’s cultural landscape.
