LAS VEGAS—The Optical Women’s Association has announced two events at Vision Expo West this September. This year’s events are the OWA Connection Series on Thursday, Sept. 19 from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. in the Venetian Level 3 Lido Room 3104, and the OWA Annual Networking and Raffle Event, on Friday, Sept. 20 from 6:00 to7:30 p.m., also in the Venetian Level 3 Lido Room 3104. Both events are open to everyone, including non-members, and require advance registration through the OWA. 

This installment of the OWA Connection Series is titled “Brave Leadership: Unleash Your Most Confident, Authentic, and Powerful Self to Get the Results You Need.” This talk is based on the best-selling book by Kimberly Davis, who will speak at the event, and aims to help attendees demystify what it takes to be a leader. This event is sponsored by ABB Optical Group and Unity Progressive Lenses.

This year’s OWA Annual Networking and Raffle Event will feature hors d’oeuvres, cocktails and networking opportunities. Like last year, the OWA is holding an online raffle alongside their traditional raffle, both of which offer designer items, travel packages, gift certificates, and more. All proceeds from the raffles go to Professional Development Programs.
