TORRANCE, Calif.—Patients with
high prescriptions often want thinner lenses. Now ECPs can offer as a
premium choice for these patients ultra-thin high index 1.74 lenses, in
new Transitions Signature VII gray and brown from Younger Optics.
Transitions Signature VII lenses
are a direct replacement for Transitions VI lenses. They use patented
Chromea7 technology, an exclusive dye formulation that allows the lenses
to be more reactive to indirect sunlight and reflected sunlight, and
become even darker on hot days. According to Transitions Optical, eight
out of ten clear lens wearers prefer the new technology to their clear
lenses.
Seiko recommends these ultra-thin
lenses, made from MR-174 material by Mitsui Chemicals, for patients who
are looking for a more cosmetically appealing, thinner lens. When
dispensing to patients for whom thinness and light management is
essential, High Index 1.74 Transitions Signature lenses will satisfy
their requirements.
High-index 1.74 single vision
lenses from Younger Optics, in Transitions as well as clear, are
available to labs in 11 base curves ranging from 0.50 to 10.0. These
lenses are available to ECPs through their favorite laboratory.
