SAN FRANCISCO—Classy, a giving platform that enables nonprofits to connect supporters with causes they care about, has named RestoringVision as a finalist for the 2023 Classy Awards. Launched in 2009, The Classy Awards shine a spotlight on the innovative work nonprofits are implementing around the globe. RestoringVision is the only optical nonprofit represented among the finalists and the organization is sharing the recognition for its commitment to solving the global vision crisis. This year, 11 Classy Awards will be distributed, including the People’s Choice Award, which is determined by public vote.

Supporters can vote  here for RestoringVision now through April 25, 2023.

The organization creates equitable access to vision services and eyeglasses for people living on less than $2 a day worldwide. Since 2003, RestoringVision has empowered 24 million people with clear vision, reaching nearly 3.4 million people alone in 2022. Creating access to vision services and eyeglasses unlocks human potential by creating continued opportunities for work, increased productivity, increased earning potential, continued education, increased safety and more, RestoringVision pointed out.

Winners will be announced live on June 7 at the Collaborative by Classy conference in Philadelphia, Pa. More information on the Classy Awards is posted here.
