Fitting Box Debuts FitLive 3, a 3D Virtual Fitting Solution for Eyewear

Product: FitLive 3, by Fitting Box, a leader in virtual try on technology, is described as a new virtual fitting web application for eyewear retailers, e-commerce and brand websites. This app turns the web user’s screen into a virtual mirror, directly in the web browser, with just a standard webcam.
Top Line: Thanks to the augmented reality and the photo technology developed by the Fitting Box’s R&D Lab, FitLive 3 enables web users to try on frames in 3D, in full motion and in an immersive and photorealistic way, allowing a try on which shows the head in motion and shows lens reflections or transparency. FitLive 3 embeds new face detection and real time face tracking algorithms. The interface has been upgraded to offer a better positioning of eyeglass frames on the user and the load and display times have also been reduced substantially due to a new compressed format of 3D objects, the company said.
Close Up: FitLive 3 adds two major features: The “Double Mirror” and the “Full Screen Mode.” For retailers and brands, this enables a way to show the entire catalog of frames in very fine details. It allows the website visitors to virtually wear the glasses and to view them, in real-time, from all angles, how the glasses fit their face.
Vital Stats: FitLive 3 also integrates into any CMS or E-commerce platform including Drupal, Magento, PrestaShop, Zen Cart and others. A demo, which enables a user to capture their own image via their computer’s camera is viewable for anyone here. The demo can be viewed on a Windows or MAC OS, using the web browsers Internet Explorer version 8 or more, Chrome, Firefox and Safari.
