Position Summary:

The Supervisor, Ophthalmology is responsible for technical operational management of the Division of Ophthalmology. The Supervisor is a member of the management team and is directly responsible for the supervision and delegation of specific responsibilities to the technical staff, technical leadership, and monitoring quality assurance. The Supervisor works with the Practice Supervisor, Medical Director, medical staff and technical staff to ensure quality patient care, technical training/education and ensuring compliance with national guidelines/standards. This position is responsible for ensuring high technical quality of procedures, training and competency of technologists and when appropriate engages in direct patient care.


Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field, with 3 to 5 years of relevant leadership experience or Nursing degree with 5 years of relevant leadership experience required. Certification in Ophthalmology preferred.  


Successful candidate will have 3-5 years direct patient care experience ideally in Ophthalmology; leadership experience in a clinical environment required.
