NEW YORK—Inspired by the glamorous life of Kendall and Kylie Jenner, a new Kendall + Kylie eyewear collection will debut in 2017, via global distribution from Allure Eyewear, an affiliate of Marchon. A sunwear collection will be launched to better department and specialty stores in February, while a substantial ophthalmic collection will be previewed to premier optical retailers and independents in March, Steve Clarke, Allure’s president, told VMail.

Kendall + Kylie is a global lifestyle brand created by beloved style icons and fashion authorities, Kendall and Kylie Jenner. With a unique and presence across the digital landscape, Kendall and Kylie have defined themselves as two of the most popular icons and personalities of this generation. Noted Clarke, “Each of them has more than 60 million followers, with very little overlap; together they reach about 100 million via their various social media platforms.”

Inspired by the girls’ personal styles, as is their popular ready-to-wear, handbag and shoe collections, the new sunwear is “a reflection of the duality of their distinct fashion perspectives, sleek and elegant with an edgy aesthetic. The collection features striking silhouettes made of luxurious materials with iconic detailing,” an announcement said.

"We're excited to offer our new collection of sunglasses. Eyewear is the finishing touch that elevates any look. We can't wait for our customers to see the world through our eyes,” said Kendall and Kylie Jenner.

Initial deliveries of the ophthalmic collection are anticipated in the second half of the year, Clarke said.
