ORLANDO, Fla.—The American Academy of Optometry has announced the winners of its annual awards which recognize important contributions to advancing the profession of optometry. “Every nominee represents exactly what the American Academy of Optometry and the American Academy of Optometry Foundation hope to inspire in all of us. The American Academy of Optometry’s annual meeting, Academy 2018 San Antonio, will take place Nov.7 to 10, 2018, at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas.

Award winners will be recognized at the Academy 2018 San Antonio Awards Ceremony on Friday, Nov. 9, from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m., in room 217CD of the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. Section on Cornea, Contact Lenses and Refractive Technologies award recipients will be honored at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 7 in room 214. The Public Health and Environmental Vision Section Henry B. Peters Awardee will be honored on Thursday, Nov. 8 at 5:00 p.m. in room 207.
