Latest News American Academy of Optometry Announces Student and Resident Travel Fellowship Recipients By Staff Friday, September 22, 2017 12:18 AM ORLANDO, Fla.—The American Academy of Optometry and the American Academy of Optometry Foundation announced the recipients of the 2017 Student Travel Fellowship Awards and Resident Travel Fellowship Awards. These travel fellowships will allow students and residents to attend Academy 2017 Chicago, Oct. 11 to 14.Recipients included Carolyn Chakuroff from The Ohio State University and Jennifer Nguyen from State University of New York who received the American Optometric Student Association Student Travel Fellowships; Ayah Ahamed from the State University of New York and Sabeen Ali from the University of the Incarnate Word who were among some students who received an educational grant funded by Johnson and Johnson Vision; Priscilla Wai Yin Chang from the Illinois College of Optometry and Rebecca Chung from the Pacific University who were among some students who received an educational grant from Essilor; as well as Alaina Bandstra, OD, from the Illinois College of Optometry and Ashley Berens, OD, from the Ferris State University who were among those who received Allergan resident travel fellowships.Click here for the full list of recipients.
