LAS VEGAS—American Optical Services (AOS) reports it has acquired two new practices to add to its current portfolio of 73 locations.

The group said that Thomas Retinal Eye Specialists, run by Garry Thomas, MD, and the practice of Douglas Campbell, MD, Lakewood Eye Clinic , from Denver, Colo., are now both under the AOS umbrella. The deals follow the group’s acquisition last fall of The Eye Gallery in Atlanta, Ga., as reported by VMail.

Pierre Keyser, CEO of American Optical Services said, “In 2012, AOS will continue to provide doctors with a plan for retirement. We continue to be steadfast in our acquisitions of optometry and ophthalmology practices in the U.S., with our proven methodology for providing an exit strategy to the growing number of doctors with limited options in today’s market.

American Optical Services’s locations also include hearing centers, including hearing centers which operate under the name Exela Hearing Services. More information about the group is posted at www.americanopticalservices.com.
