CALGARY, Alberta—FYidoctors, one of Canada’s largest and fastest-growing eyecare companies, has added two locations in a further expansion of its footprint in the Canadian market where it has more than 260 locations under its corporate umbrella.

In mid-December, FYidoctors announced that Sight for Sore Eyes Optical in White Rock, British Columbia, had joined the FYidoctors team. The acquisition added to FYi’s growing presence in British Columbia, the company said in a statement.

“We are pleased to continue the FYidoctors growth story with our first location in White Rock,” said FYidoctors chairman and chief executive officer Dr. Alan Ulsifer.

In a separate deal also announced in December, Drs. Bishop, Marshall & Associates in Parry Sound, Ontario, joined the FYidoctors business operations. FYidoctors said in a statement that the practice’s range of diagnostic technology, wide selection of designer and exclusive label frames and internal freeform lens designs “demonstrate FYi’s continued commitment to the Eastern region.”

“It is very exciting to add, yet another, Ontario clinic to the FYidoctors country wide map,” Ulsifer said. “It continues to humble me when proven optometric leaders, who have plenty of years of practice ahead of them, choose our company as the best choice to ensure eye care is controlled by doctors and that the future is a bright one.”

FYidoctors, a private, optometrist-owned and operated eyecare company, said its business operations include more than 450 optometrists serving more than 260 retail outlets across Canada, including corporately owned and Vision Source Canada locations.
