SAN DIEGO—Carl Zeiss Vision has named Andrew Hyncik as vice president of marketing for North America. He is based at the company’s headquarters here and reports to Jens Boy, president of Carl Zeiss Vision, North America.

Prior to joining Zeiss, Hyncik served as global vice president of strategic marketing at Fresenius Kabi, a global health care company headquartered in Germany. There, he developed international branding and marketing campaigns that helped propel Fresenius Kabi to become a leader in IV and EN system placements.

Prior to that, Hyncik was the international marketing director of anesthesia and hospital respiratory care at Philips, where he developed one of the very first mobile clinical app for Philips Healthcare. More recently, he co-founded a company to develop AI-powered chatbots for patient engagement in the health and wellness industry. Hyncik has also held positions with growing levels of responsibility at CareFusion, Procter & Gamble, and Nestle.

Hyncik has authored nearly 100 blog articles on marketing and business topics, including a recently published book on the top 25 trends for the medtech industry.
